EKS School reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate the service of any account with or without notice.

  • If it becomes necessary for a student to withdraw from any private lesson, the school will refund a percentage of the tuition provided that a withdrawal request has been signed and returned to the music director.​
  • Withdraw prior to:​​

                 -  1st lesson:  100% refund

                 -  2nd lesson:  80% refund 

                 -  3rd lesson:  60% refund

                 -  4th lesson:  40% refund

                 -  5th lesson:  20% refund

  • No refund for the semester if withdrawing after 5th lesson.​
  • There are no refund on group classes once the class is in session.
  • Credit balance – Any credit balance on your account is valid for ONE YEAR only from the date of issue.

Weather Announcement

  • EKS School is following the Quincy Public School in terms of school closure due to weather related circumstances.​
  • Students and parents should check their email in case bad weather condition results in the closing of the studio.​
  • Announcement will be send out by noon via email , EKS Facebook page and on the studio website.

Make-up AND Attendance

  • It is the responsibility of each student to be punctual to his or her lessons.​
  • Since faculty members reserve a weekly teaching slot for each student, they are not required to make up lessons missed due to student absence. One lesson per semester maybe made up if the teacher or the school receives at least 6 hours notice and if a time should become available during the teacher’s regularly scheduled hours. If your lesson is cancelled due to teacher absence or weather related school closures that lesson will be made-up as a private lesson by the teacher. There will be no make up lessons for any group class due to student absence.
  • Make-up class will usually be scheduled during the week of Winter break, February or April vacation break or according to teacher’s availability during the school year.
  • EKS Music School reserves the right to assign teachers for make-up class under certain circumstances.


  • Annual Registration Fee
    • ​Fall and Spring semester: $30 per individual and $45 per family
    • Spring semester (Student enrolling after Jan 26, 2018): $20 per individual and $30 per family
    • Summer session: $10 per individual and $15 per family
  • Recital Fee - There is a mandatory annual recital fee of $20 per student to be billed at enrollment and re-enrollment.
  • Tuitions and fees can be paid in cash or check (payable to EKS Music School). For all returned check, there will be a $25 fee charged to the family account.​
  • Tuitions are due on September 8th, 2017 for the Fall semester and January 27th, 2018 for the Spring semester.​ A $10 late fee per student per week will be applied to past due accounts.  In the case of overdue account for more than 3 weeks, lessons/class/performances will be suspended until the account is current.

StUDIO performance Class

  • The school runs a monthly Studio Performance Class. Students get opportunities to practice their performance skills, etiquettes, build confidence and receive comment and feedbacks for improvement from faculty members who might be different from their regular private instructor The class is open to all EKS students and it is free of charge. It’s a signup event and it is on a first-come first-served basis.
  • Students are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities especially if student missed their regular lesson due to various reasons.
  • Studio Performance Class will be run on the following Friday’s evening at 7:30p.m.


  • Existing family (with at least one private lesson enrollment for one completed semester or group lesson for one completed session) will receive $20 tuition credit if the new student signs up for a private class or $10 tuition credit if the new student signs up for a group class.
  • Credit will be issued to the referral family after the new student completes a full semester of private lesson (a minimum of 17 weeks of lessons) or one session of group class.
  • There is no limit of the number of new students an existing family can refer. However, the referral family will only receive one tuition credit for referring each new student no matter how many classes the new student signs up.

Discount AND Credit

  • Existing private student who signs up for additional private lesson or group class will receive 10% tuition discount toward each instrument.
  • Existing group class student who signs up for private class no later than 1 month from the last day of the group session will receive a one-time $25 tuition discount toward any instrument.
  • Existing group class student who signs up for additional group class will receive 10% tuition discount toward each additional group class.
  • Family Member Credit - Family will receive a one-time $25 credit when signing up additional immediate family member for any private or group lesson. The credit can be used toward future tuition.


  • The school year includes two semesters, Fall and Spring. Each semester consists 17 weeks of tuition. When you register, you register for the full school year, both Fall and Spring. The studio will automatically secure your slot for the whole year. Please do let us know if you wish to make any changes.  
  • Summer registration is separated from Fall and Spring semester.  Fee is waived for student who enrolled in either or both Fall and Spring semester in the same academic year.
